| In the modern world, a visual prototype is made practically for all cars being reffered more as a test views. Invented by the sheer intention to demonstrate all the brilliant qualities of a brand new design to custmoers and stakeholders. People are concerned that the visal prototype is an incomplete prototype and is far from final product, and evein if manufactured, is just to show the potential demonstration attributes of the final product. It can be said that no design idea can actually be implemented without having a visual prototype. |
MMC will also unveil high performance Ralliart variants of both sedan and Sportback Lancers at the Paris show. These will be powered by a 237hp (177kW) turbocharged 2.0-litre engine mated to the OEM’s own Twin Clutch SST (Sport Shift Transmission), while an Active Centre Differential and four-wheel drive will also feature.
In Europe, at least, the Sportback will be available with 1.5 and 1.8-litre I4 gasoline engines and a Volkswagen-sourced 2.0-litre turbodiesel in addition to the Ralliart’s gasoline turbo unit. MMC’s own diesel will become available in spring 2009, the company states.
In Japan, where the Lancer sedan is built, it is known as the Mitsubishi Galant Fortis. The five-door car is expected to be badged Galant Fortis Sportback.
After demonstrating this visual prototype, the Lancer Sportback will go on sale across Europe from November. Importers in other markets are yet to announce when the new bodystyle will become available.
